I know, I make jewelry...people buy it, they give it away, they wear it. Yet who is THEY? Well, through conversations (convos) on Etsy.com, I've come to know where some of my pieces have gone.
*A woman with two children who had a miscarriage of two little twin girls
*A woman who had lost a child in the last year
*A mother who is fighting breast cancer
*A friend who couldn't be at her friend's birthday party across the continent
*A couple who is expecting their baby girl any day now
*A nanny to a couple's children
*A mother who is an "empty nester" and wanted to signify it with a truly empty nest
These stories are touching and strike a cord with me because it makes me realize my jewelry matters. It matters to those who are looking to commemorate something...good or bad. I just saw another artists' necklace last night that said "CANCER SUCKS"...Ain't that the truth?! In your face, cancer. It's great that we have the opportunity to saw what we want and wear it proudly. What are you wearing? Find something here...www.eriadesigns.etsy.com. I'm happy to help if you need suggestions;)
